The Race to the Moon: 17th Century Selenography

The 17th century, is the first greatest century for the study of the Moon. After Galileo, and the earning benefits from the technological progress, a number of astronomers attempts to map the terrestrial’s satellite. As demonstrated, the knowledge of the lunar surface depends on navigation and the prestige of nations associated on this first astronomical conquest.
